In 2024, the world is closely watching the US due to the presidential election between the incumbent, Joseph Biden, and the former president (2016-2020), Donald Trump. Using Da Liu Ren divination on July 10th, 2024, during the Dragon hour (two weeks after the first US presidential debate), I generated the following chart.
Please note that a basic knowledge of Chinese metaphysics may be required to understand some terminologies in this writing.

This piece does not predict the election's winner but reflects my thoughts on who might have an advantage or dominance and how the election process will progress. Similar to the well-known Qi Men Dun Jia, the Da Liu Ren method can offer detailed divination. As a resident of the USA, I am particularly interested in how the election will unfold, as it directly impacts my safety and that of my fellow citizens. The writing is not aimed at a full detailed reading but at finding clues that can give me peace or increase my alertness due to the situation.

In the Heaven and Earth Plate, Trump, born in the Year of the Dog (Earth), faces punishments, specifically the Goat-Dog-Ox punishments. During the election process, Trump will be surrounded by many things that can spark emotional turmoil or connection problems. As goats, dogs, and oxes are Earth animals, the punishment can be seen as a love-hate scenario between siblings. Although the situation can be stressful, the Earth's elements brought by the punishment can still support Trump. Think of it as a CEO who runs a large company. Although facing many tough challenges, the CEO can still lead the company, bringing many profits at the end of the day. In short, Trump seems to be in a strong position. Also, note that the Tai Yin's Celestial God is with Trump. This suggests that Trump’s campaign moves are thoroughly planned, worked very hard to execute all details, and even a hidden agenda may exist. Since Tai Yin also suggests females, some campaign moves may relate to women.

Now, let's consider the context of the Heaven and Earth Plate for Biden. Born in the Year of the Horse (Fire), he possesses some interesting readings. The presence of the Horse (fire) with Zhu Que’s Celestial God, well-supported by the Tiger, suggests strong backing for Biden. However, both Biden and his supporters fuel Zhu Que’s Celestial God (fire element), potentially leading to conflicts or disputes around Biden, including among his backers. This tension was particularly evident following the first presidential debate, as there were signs of dissatisfaction among some of his backers/supporters regarding his performance. Although Zhu Que is a negative star, its association with the fire element could also strengthen Biden’s position. However, it's worth noting that Trump may receive slightly stronger cosmic energy support, in my view.

Let's turn our attention to the election process. The three transmissions indicate a strong presence of Earth energy, along with a complete goat-dog-ox punishment. This combination suggests the possibility of relationship difficulties, dissatisfaction, or conflicts related to the election process. In the case of Biden, born in the year of the Horse (fire), the abundance of Earth energy and punishments may deplete his fire energy, indicating potentially less cosmic energy support for him as the election progresses. Conversely, Trump is expected to receive more supportive Earthly energy.

When we look closely at the Dog (Trump’s birth year), we see that it is in the second/middle position. This suggests that Trump holds a strong position during the election process. The process could refer to the period during political campaigns and debates. This does not suggest the final result but can indicate Trump's dominance throughout the election process. Although dominant, the formation does not create an easy life for Trump because the Dragon from the Year 2024 clashes with him. Since he was convicted of several felony counts earlier in the year, the government (the Supreme Court) can be his major obstacle and headache. Once again, Tai Yin’s Celestial God is in the second transmission, suggesting that much planning and strategy were pushed behind the scenes.

Now, to answer my question of whether I should feel peaceful or on alert, I am not happy looking at the third/final transmission containing Ox and Bai Hu’s Celestial God. Bai Hu, or the White Tiger, is simply bad news, and then it happens on top of a complete set of punishments. This can lead to dissatisfaction, and violent matters can occur at the end of the election! Remembering 2016-2017, when Trump won the presidential election, many protests happened. Whoever wins this election may face a tough start. Since divination is done in the month of Goat, and the Goat clashes with Ox (the last transmission), this can indicate more dissatisfaction among the people.

This writing may not carry any weight in the presidential election process. Still, I urge the readers in the USA to remain vigilant, particularly towards the end of the election, October 2024 through October 2025.

Feng Shui and Lucks, in layman's language ...

​As most Feng Shui practitioners know, in flying star system, there is an annual energy cycle. For the year of 2020, the annual flying star can be seen in figure 1 below.

​Let’s take an example of star 8 (wealth star), which visits North West (NW) sector in 2020. It is tempting to activate star 8 in NW, isn’t it? Nothing is wrong with this idea. However, it is important to understand that annual energy cycle is just one part of the analysis. Let’s not forget the full chart of the whole property.

Figure 2 is the flying star chart of a period-8, South 2 facing house. The top two numbers in each box are typically called mountain (left) and water (right) stars. These stars are the permanent energy of the sector. The bottom numbers are the annual stars. In 2020, the wealth star is visiting the master bedroom at NW sector. Yes, we can use this room more often to harness the good energy of star 8 and possibly add enhancers based on the five element principles to further activate the star 8 (earth element). This is great, but please also notice the permanent energy in that sector. NW sector is where the star 5 and 2 reside. Both star 5 and 2 carry negative energies and … they’re also earth elements. Therefore, activating star 8 in the master bedroom can also trigger negative energies of the star 5 and 2.

Let’s talk about other location from figure 2: the main door area. The south sector has double wealth star (double star 8!) and being in the main door, the good star 8 is activated most of the time. Several practitioners like to enhance the auspiciousness of star 8 in the main door using the five-element principle. This is great, but there is a caveat. In 2020, star 2 (sickness) is visiting the South sector. Since 2, 5 and 8 are earth element stars, enhancing star 8 with five element principle can also trigger the negative energy of star 2 (or 5) when they’re visiting annually or monthly. This explains why activation of good stars sometimes do not work as expected or may bring other harms. It is also important to understand that five-element principle isn’t always the best method to use.

So, which areas are great in 2020? South West and West sectors (front and middle bedrooms) are great areas to use! West sector for example, the permanent energy is defined by white stars 1 & 6, and is visited by star 9. They’re all stars with positive energies. By using this room more often in 2020 and possibly adding enhancers, occupants can harness abundant positive energies.

We hope this short article can fully show the importance of a full Feng Shui analysis/audit and also how annual (or monthly) energy cycle is linked to the sector’s permanent energy.

​We receive a lot of questions regarding how good/bad a house Feng Shui can be. Regardless the questions arise after or before the house purchase, it is always safe to have the house analyzed by a Feng Shui consultant. In this article, we are going to discuss a house with a bad Feng Shui layout.

Figure 1 shows a period 7 North facing house. The house is built and occupied at the end of period 7. The occupants include a father, a mother, a grandmother and two sons. It is known that the grandmother was sick and passed away several years later and then the mother’s health starts to deteriorate. The youngest son deals with a long-term back problem and businesses were not smooth due to recurring theft.

There are several analyses that need to be combined together. The technicality of the analysis is outside of the scope of the article. Figure 2 below shows that the house has missing sectors (NE and SW sectors are missing). A non-rectangular/square shape house will have missing sectors and the missing energy can’t provide protection from the effect of the inauspicious stars.

Figure 3 and 4 are the flying star Qi analysis that has been narrowed down to the main rooms in the house. So, where’s the problem? In flying star, star 5 is the worst star that brings majority of bad lucks including sickness, loss of wealth, etc. Star 2 is the sickness star and star 7 is the theft/robbery star.

Let’s start with the theft problem. The main door is located at the 7-7 sector. During period 7, this is very auspicious and the business grows. However, the auspiciousness goes away after period 7 ends. Since the main door is in the theft/robbery star (star 7) section, this explains why the businesses have been continuously bothered by theft in period 8. Note: It is also important to analyze the work place Feng Shui (if it is not a home business), which is outside of the scope of this article.

Next is the sickness problem. To answer this, several analyses are required. First, based on the flying star analysis, we see that most bedrooms are located in the sector with star 5 (except the back bedroom which is used by the sons). Reader can notice the star 5 locations in figure 3 and 4. They fall into the bedrooms.

The in-depth analysis (small taiji analysis) is omitted in this short article.

In figure 5, the beds are marked with the cyan/light blue rectangles. Sadly, the mother side (master bedroom’s bed) is located at star 5 and the grandmother bed (middle bedroom’s bed) is facing to star 5 direction. This bed location/direction will accentuate sickness and/or other bad lucks.

The red arrows are the regular pathway taken by all occupants to enter the house, which starts from the NW side of the garage, NW side of the kitchen and then NW side of the family room (and also enters from NW side of the master bedroom if one needs to go to the master bedroom). Figure 4 shows the NW sector contains star 2 (especially on the right side or is also known as the water star). Hence, sickness star is activated several times every time the occupants enter the house via the garage door.

Let’s go back to figure 2 and 4. Note that the North East sector (garden) and the South West sector (backyard) are considered missing sectors. Missing NE sector means there is less/no protection for the youngest son and missing SW sector means there is less/no protection for the eldest lady in the residence.
In short: Sickness star activations every time going into the house, sleep at star 5 location (or face to star 5 direction), sleeps in star 5 bedrooms and there are missing sectors.

All analysis above explains why the grandmother sickness worsened and later passed away. Then the mother becomes the eldest lady with deteriorating health. SW sector represents the eldest lady and it is missing in the house layout. The youngest son’s back problem can be explained due to the NE missing sector which represents youngest son and also back/muscle problem.

This is an example of a bad house (Feng Shui-wise) that should have been avoided from the beginning. Can remedies help?  A little bit only. When you are sick, you can use medicine to counter it, however it is wise to keep yourself healthy and avoiding the sickness from the first place. Renovations will be very major for this house and may not be worthy.

Another frequently asked question is: how big is the probability that my house (or future house) Feng Shui can be this bad? Well, Feng Shui is never a trial-and-error work. A proper analysis is required and it’s best to involve a classically trained Feng Shui consultant prior to purchasing a house. Even at 50-50 probability, you do not want to risk purchasing a house with bad Feng Shui.

​In this article, we are going to show a room addition project that is cleverly done to improve the Feng Shui of the house. Figure 1 is the first-floor layout of a period 8 South East facing house. The left picture is the original house layout and the right picture shows the revised plan to renovate the back porch into a sun room.

​The (enclosed) sun room is going to be a nice addition to the house, but how does it affect the Feng Shui?

​The house natal flying star chart (first floor) is shown in figure 2. The star 2, 5 and 7 are noted with red color due to its inauspicious nature.

​The main entrance has 1-8 star which is great for period 8! Moreover, they’re combination of white stars, which are very auspicious. Please note that the original layout excludes the back-porch area for the flying star analysis.
Using the flying star principles (Wu Chang lineage), the Qi assignment is further narrowed down. Figure 4 shows each room’s star assignment and figure 5 shows the flying star natal chart for the revised plan.

Let us compare the flying star analysis before and after the sun room addition.

​As we see in the table above, the room addition improves the Feng Shui. There are going to be less remedies and the occupant will enjoy the good star effects in majority of the rooms on the first floor.

• Agrees to the scope of works that they are capable of.
• More or less educate the clients about Feng Shui and wholeheartedly answer questions, including discussing alternatives or possibilities.
• Focus to the client’s needs and provide support after the delivery of the report.
• Open to discuss about Feng Shui and various schools/lineages in a respectful, educative and supportive way.

 
Things to expect/prepare prior to a Feng Shui consultancy:

• Consultancy may require discussion about one’s personal life. It is not the consultant intention to be nosy, but some personal questions are usually required to move forward with the analysis.
• If renovations are not possible (or partially possible), please let the consultant knows in advance. This will enable the consultant to be very specific in delivering the report.
